Man Nabbed For Burglarizing Vehicles

   A Lawrenceburg man was taken into police custody early Tuesday after he was reported to be burglarizing vehicles in the Frisbie Avenue area.

   Cory Shawmen Tidwell, age 21, of 217 Carroll Avenue, Lawrenceburg, was booked through the Lawrence County Detention Center on charges that include resisting arrest, theft, two counts of burglary and resisting stop, frisk, halt.

   Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a suspicious man breaking into vehicles. As they spoke with the complainant officers report that they spotted Tidwell. They report that he fled on foot, but that they were quickly able to apprehend him.

   Officers report that some headphones were found in Tidwell’s possession that he had reportedly taken out of one of the vehicles. The property was returned to the owner.

   Tidwell was scheduled to appear in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on April 4, 2014.

   Officers noted that Tidwell had been put on probation on March 1 on charges of theft over $1,000.
